The Capital Hotel, Thimphu

We just say that this hotel on a 3-day trip to Bhutan. The hotel is extremely clean and that very friendly. Food at the hotel is great and the rooms are huge! Rooms are very tidy and well laid out. And the location is right in the center of everything. I will stay here again for sure. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant experience in Bhutan.

We’ve stayed at The Capital Hotel many times during our business trips to Thimphu, and we honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It has truly become our home away from home. What makes this hotel so special is the people. The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, attentive, and always go the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. Their genuine hospitality keeps us coming back. The food is simply outstanding. The menu offers a fantastic variety of Western, Indian, and Bhutanese dishes, with plenty of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. We also love the restaurant’s relaxing atmosphere—the soothing music makes every meal even more enjoyable. The rooms are modern, stylish, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. They’re exceptionally comfortable, peaceful, and quiet, making it easy to unwind after a busy day. The location is perfect, with easy access to everything Thimphu has to offer. Local shops, the fruit and vegetable market, temples, and many of the city’s main attractions are all conveniently nearby.
