Located right in the bustling market area of Paro, Brioche Cafe is a standout destination for coffee and pastry lovers. This women-run cafe impresses with its artisanal pastries, including a chocolate-filled croissant that melts in the mouth with rich, buttery layers. The cafe positions itself as a premium bakery, and every bite justifies the price — from flaky croissants to apple strudel, each item is crafted with care. The calm, comfortable ambience makes it perfect for relaxing after a day of shopping, while the machine-made coffee is consistently good. Visitors appreciate the large variety of baked goods and the warm, positive vibe created by the all-female team. Bonus: Twinings tea adds an extra touch of elegance. A must-visit for anyone seeking high-quality pastries in Paro.

The coffee is machine‑made and reasonably good. What I really liked is that the café is entirely run by women, which adds a warm and positive vibe to the place. They have a large variety of bakery items, and while it is slightly expensive, it clearly positions itself as a premium bakery. That said, the pricing feels justified because the quality and freshness are evident.
We ordered a chocolate‑filled croissant, freshly prepared, and it was honestly excellent—very soft, melting in the mouth, with rich buttery layers that you could taste in every bite. It felt fresh, indulgent, and well made.
Overall, Brioche Cafe is a great stop in Paro if you enjoy good coffee, high‑quality bakery items, and a relaxed environment. A nice place to unwind after exploring the market.

5 months agoArrived an hour before closing for a nightcap coffee and we had a lovely time in this coffee shop / bakery!
The pastries were absolutely delightful and the coffee was great!
I wish I had more tummy space to taste more of the pastries because everything looks extremely delectable.
The choices of pastries here are even much better than in my own home city (ph)😅🫶🏼

4 months agoDuring my stay in Paro, I went back here every chance I got because everything they make is genuinely delicious. I tried the plain croissant, the cheese croissant, the apple strudel, the brownie… everything was amazing!
You can really taste the care and quality in every pastry. I absolutely loved this place and would come back again and again
Bonus points for serving Twinings tea 🫖✨
My only complaint: no wifi in 2026 is kind of wild 😭

6 months agoBrioche Cafe is a cozy and well-loved café in Paro known for its excellent pastries, desserts, and good-quality coffee, making it one of the better spots in town for a relaxed break. Visitors especially praise the fresh croissants, cheesecakes, chocolate tarts, and homemade ice cream, along with a warm, charming ambiance that’s perfect for breakfast or a casual coffee stop. While prices are slightly on the higher side for Bhutan and the seating can be a bit limited during busy hours, the overall experience is consistently positive, especially for dessert lovers—just don’t expect a full meal menu, as it’s more of a bakery-style café than a restaurant.
